First of all thank you for the variety of reactions on the last page, I didn't really know how/have time to respond to them without being repetitive lol.

Ok so the Pen flashback is from around the time Em started the journey. I'm not entirely sure how long she's been out so "A few weeks" is an estimate. There is no other people forwarding the paper to Em and co, it's something else. Wind? Heh? And remember those dumb cloaks team Rocket had? Here's a little general sum up of Folded-verse Team Rocket if you want to read it.

Team Rocket actually used to have a lot better team spirit (=bunch of idiots having fun being dumb) when Giovanni was still around. Before he was beaten and left, he told the remaining few grunts to find his son so he can eventually take his place to lead the team (real motives still being unknown though). Well, Silver ran away and the Rockets, being loyal to the boss, basically wasted three years trying to look for him. They started to come up with the most incoherent plans as seen throughout the comic to somehow get through things and find him. Pen (despite being just as sour as the others) wanted to bring back the old team spirit and was the only one willing to not be loyal to Giovanni's ideas. The other Rocket members started to progressively lose faith too except maybe Archer boi over here. Pen eventually came up with her own plan after finding out about Em's feather (trying to catching Ho-oh) because she was sick and tired or everything and wanted to prove something to the rest of the Rockets.
