Its actually no layer style on the lines. I just duplicated the model, nudged her a bit up and left, masked out the lines, and lowered the opacity on the layer

Well, the ornament is more a modernist or tribal thing, specially with decorative emphasis, like for example, with a female portrait.

For me abstract is something that you donΒ΄t understand just by looking at it.

In my image I wanted to illustrate the Virgo as in astrology. The ornaments do not play a vital role as the message and image itself would carry just fine without them

Many people think it's so easy to make something abstract and at the same time good, but actually it's not. Especially in traditional art and in photography. It takes a lot to get the hang of it. Sure, there are a lot of people who try creating abstract art and fail, but in EVERY genre there are people like that. No need to judge the whole art genre like that... And even when there are people who are not fond of abstract art, they don't have the right to call abstract artists untalented.

I so agree with you! As of the text on the image it's quoted by the famous cartoonist Al Capp .

I don't necessarily agree with him because i quoted him, but I love how it triggers emotions by the viewers, including you The quote itself is kind of witty although pretty naive. And as you can see this is somewhat of an conceptual abstract piece too.
