CHAPTER 1: Wish upon the Second Star

The sun was just about setting at a small city, and at the local orphanage for girls outside in the play ground, still sitting under that shade of a large oak tree was one little girl. Almost 10 years old, very short for her age, long golden brown hair that was half tied back with a black ribbon, hazel eyes, and was wearing the standard uniform of the orphanage, which consisted of a pale blue short sleeved blouse with a navy blue cardigan over it, a light blue plaid skirt, ankle socks that matched the blouse, and tan brown Mary Jane shoes. The girl was just sitting, and drawing a sketch of Mickey Mouse in her sketchbook. Every Now and then she would look up and glance at a couple of other little girls in the Orphanage who were playing for a little while before having to go inside for dinner, but she would put the thought out of her head and go back to her drawing. Shortly after, just as she was now trying to think of what to put in the back round, the Dinner Bell rang, and a gentle familiar shadow came towering over her.

"It's time to come back Inside Emily dear" said Sister Jane, one of the Nuns of the orphanage, "Dinner will be ready soon!"

The girl, Emily Sidders by name, just nodded, closed her sketchbook, and followed the Sister inside.

Later after dinner, it was time for the very thing Emily loved the most, Movie Night, for the Movies the Orphanage played were non other than Disney Movies, Emily's Very Favorite Kind, and tonight's Movie was Pinocchio, though some of the other girls were disappointed that it wasn't a Movie with a Disney Princess. When the Movie was over, it was time for all of the girls in the orphanage to get ready for bed, and were all in their shared rooms doing so, including Emily, who was already washed up and in her night gown and was now laying on her bed reading a special book containing stories of all of the Disney movies which she loved dearly, for it was the first and only Gift her mother got to give her in advance before she Passed right after Emily's Birth. Then Sister Jane came into the room

"Now girls" began the Sister, "It's time for all of you to go to sleep, including YOU Emily!"

With that said, Emily quickly marked where she had left off in the book before closing it, despite how she has read it so many times before, and turned off the lamp on her night stand. A couple of the other girls couldn't help but giggle at how Emily got called out, making Emily feel a little embarrassed, but the other girls giggle at everyone who gets called, so she didn't feel too bad. Once all of the girls said their prayers, they all settled down in their beds as Sister Jane got ready to turn the main light of the room off

"Good Night my Dears" said the Sister

"Good Night Sister Jane" said all of the Girls in the room in Unison

With that said, the Sister turned off the light and gently closed the door behind her.

An hour or 2 later, as soon as Emily was certain that all of the girls in the room, and even all of the Nuns in the orphanage have gone to sleep, she carefully sat up in her bed to look at the window, which she was right next to since her bed was the last one in the row of beds in the room. Emily carefully and quietly climbed out of her bed, walked over and climbed up on the padded sill of the window inside, and opened the window carefully and quietly without making noise simply to look up at all of the bright and beautiful stars of the night sky for it was hard to see even the brightest of stars through the glass of the window, and luckily it was a warm calm night, so no harsh cold breeze would brush in a draft waking the other girls. As Emily had done for just about all of her life, she looked for the brightest star of all, believing that the brightest ones can grant wishes, and if anyone here had a big strong wish, it was definitely Emily. Sure enough, Emily found, not 1, but 2 stars that were the brightest of them all, and right next to each other too. This was a first sight of all the times she has tried this, but she had a theory of her own of what to do if this was the case, if there are 2 bright stars on your starry night sky, the second star to the right will be the wishing star, so pick the the Second star to the right and make your wish, and that's just what Emily did as she began to make the well known chant

"Starlight, Star bright" began Emily, "First star I see tonight, I wish I may, I wish my might, have the wish I wish tonight! I wish.....I wish for a special home, not only where I'll finally have a family, but where I'll Also finally have friends if I might add!.....please! Please! PLEASE!....."

After glancing one last time at the said star, Emily closed the window quietly and locked it tight as it was before, climbed down and crept back to her bed, and went to sleep for real this time, a Tune playing in her head as he did.

As Emily drifted to sleep, and at the Stroke of midnight, a shooting Star flew across the sky towards the star that was just wished upon. Little did Emily know that, not only was her wish received and granted, but she was also about to be granted passage to a special home indeed....
