Commission.

This took around 15 hours, over a couple weeks to complete.

Faber Castell & Mechanical Pencils.

Blending stumps, tissue, cotton pads and q-tips for blending and shading.

Kneaded eraser, block eraser and click-pen eraser.

This looks awesome, and a great concept as you said, must have been fun.
Kevin (guessing his name is Kevin from his username) is right though, you shouldn't blend pencil with fingers

Oh for goodness sake, I personally think it depends on what type of artist you are and how you draw. If everyone stuck to 'rules' in art then there wouldn't of been half, if any of the the art movements there has been. So yeh that's my opinion. It's how I draw I know it leaves oil from your skin on the paper, but if you have clean hands and don't press hard then there is minimal to no oil.

You leave bodily oil on the paper and it damages it.

Only if you press too much. I do it as I get a smoother even finish on my shading, works fine for me.

Excellent and what an interesting concept! Both the man and the bear are great! Hair/fur, eyes, nose/snout?, and mouth - yep, they're all there and they're drawn superb! Great job!!!
