People can be jealous of anyone or anything. I'm jealous of birds because they can fly!
But this portrait is more to do with the envy of others' appearance.
Being red haired, freckly and pale is not the desired image of 'beautiful' women on the front page of magazines.
Being brunette/blonde with tanned skin and not a freckle in sight is how the media portray the definition of beauty!
Being 'geen-eyed with envy' is a well known saying, and i have tried to portray that in this photograph, as well as the most undesired look the media has most of us believed is so.
I don't think at all that being pale, freckly with red hair is not beautiful, as i think it is very much so! Definitely a very interesting and inspiring combination.
