There is finally an end in sight for DeviantArt as we know it. On May 20th, the current DeviantArt layout will be officially retired and replaced with the new DA Eclipse layout. As many of you already know, I am not looking forward to the new layout at all..and it truly does make me scared for the future of DeviantArt. As sappy as it may sound, this place has always been like a second home to me and seeing it change this drastically is..jarring, to say the least. No, the future does not look bright for DA. (both figuratively and literally)

However, we may have a chance to change the future..

Right now over 3,000 people have pledged to join #thesoundofsilencemovement and over 7,000 people have signed a petition to keep the old DA! To those of you who insist that we cannot make a difference...you're probably right lol. But that doesn't mean we should give up!! A small chance is better than no chance at all. I love this place too much to let it become a shadow of its former self without putting up a fight. Don't lose hope, friends. We have the power to make this happen.
