I usually refer to characters based on which of their names is easier to remember. Pallysol for example; I can never remember what he's called in Japan. And Hanahojin...or however it's spelled... I've heard that name more than Snottle. And sometimes I'll flip between names, like Himoji and Hungramps.
I will, however, just use the Japanese names for humans, much as Keita, Fumi, and Kuma.

Huh, Inaho is the only one I still use the Japanese name for. cx Mostly because it sounds better and less gimmicky than “Hailey Anne”.

I’m too used to her Japanese name to call her Hailey. .<. Inaho just makes more sense to me.
