I was debating whether or not I wanted everyone else’s confessions of love for Cressida to be canon, but I just played through this one again and it made my heart hurt enough that it must be 😭 Cressida not wanting to hurt him and not feeling like that about him but also knowing that her brand of affection just like isn’t what he needs/deserves, that she’s like too fake by her nature, that he needs someone with more natural honesty than she’s capable of
Then Cress returning to camp and Astarion making a comment and her being like “hey careful that sounds like jealousy” with a flippant tone because they’ve said they’re just for fun but by now they both have secret feelings. Then in the morning Gale saying that they’re good and Cress admitting/realizing that he’s her first real friend, that no one ever really mattered but that holy shit he matters please don’t die
