heya. i'm actually a decent archer. i do archery 5-6 hours a week and have been for a good year.
how i shoot a bow, depending on the distance, i would use different points on my face to be able to shoot accuratly.
for example if i was shooting at 20m i would put my fingers under my jaw bone. if i was shooting at 70 or 80 i would put my hand under my jaw.
secondly is the way you drew the hand holding the bow.
i have seen many different ways to hold it but i have never seen someone hold it with their pinkie. it is a bad technique.
the sring is held awkwardly. The string would be held using the 3rd joint(the last joint. closest to your fingernails) of your finger.
another thing i notest was how you held the limb of the bow.
your thumb would be wrapped around the bow rather than pointing sraight.
here are some good references
[link] - the first finger doesn't have to be above the arrow, although it is an aproved technique.
[link] - this is a good bow hand position for the style of bow you have drawn.
hope this helps!

Thanks for the tips and the references! I will keep all of this in mind next time and wow archery 5-6 hours a week! I guess I should do more research on some of the things I'm drawing in the future.

haha no problem, and a good artist always researches! not that you are a bad drawer, though.

Thank you so much! I'll definitely keep that in mind if I decide to change this drawing or do future drawings involving bows.
