Whoever sewed the black robe for you did a really good job. I've seen similar costumes on eBay that were really expensive and don't look as good as yours. I guess the beauty of sewing for yourself is that you can make it exactly the way you want it. I'd make my own costumes too if I had any talent for sewing but unfortunately, I don't :/

yeah, I'm actually working on sewing the alternative gold version of Abel for the next con as well as crafting the metalwork and jewelry myself.

Thanks! Only the 'metal work', so the pins, armor, plates, and etc. The fabric work someone else did.

Most of it is made of craft foam, the shoulder pauldron is made from wonderflex.

It's a plastic that you can thermo-mold. Can be used to create more organic or fluid looking forms.

It's a common design for light infantry where mobility is preferred. Having one pauldron on your left side was a common setup as when two right handed combatants face each other, their left shoulder and arm would be exposed to their opponents.
