Description Yet another german soldier at another nameless village by the USSR - not more than a mere dot on some general's map - asks himself: Why are we here?

USSR - Summer, 1942

Battles like these were really common at the second world war, and a huge amount of small villages became battlefields. Infantry divisions with mainly horse-powered mobility were the mainstay of the early german army, and these men fought most battles which no one, except those who were there, will remember.
