I adore Butterfly Bog. And I adore Strange Magic; it's become one of my favorite movies. I just get so happy watching Marianne and Bog together because their relationship is just about ideal, to me. They respect each other as equals, trust each other, and love unconditionally. This is a movie I've wanted for a long, loooong time. Beauty and the Beast is my favorite fairy tale, but it always annoyed me that the Beast changes back because I felt like that cheapened the point of the story. "Love someone for who they are on the inside, not what they look li - oh, wait, he changed into a handsome prince, so never mind!" But Bog doesn't change; neither of them has to change for the other, and they love each other in spite of their differences. Kudos to Lucas and his team. (Even if the whole thing does remind me of a comic I worked on for school, haha)Painted at the last minute the day the DVD came out because somehow I always forget to post celebratory art on my Tumblr.
(I didn't realize until about three in the morning that Bog looks like he's sniffing her hair, but he's supposed to be kissing her forehead! Darn that pointy nose.)

I agree with all you've said about the film! I was watching it and I though i did predict the outcome of the film, i was also happy to note that one of my predictions was false. I was expecting that once Marianne and Bog fell in love he would transform like the beast in beauty in the beast, I couldnt be happier to see that he did not =! Your fan art is amazing, This movie is amazing and you do it great justice!

(its more a case of "expanding horizons" and "meet in the middle"...rather than "I will change for you")

Jajaj he does look like hes sniffing her hair o.O xD but i still like this very cute artwork. Just like you I ADORE this movie because even if its like Beauty and the beast in this case the beast doesnt change and that is what got my attention cause this is a love story that hasnt really been told before, i mean that they actually love each other for who they are and not exactly how they look. And also i loved it cause is a musical with good eighties hits and i LOVE THEM XD
