Woah, this is amazing! How do you get it to look stained glass-y, without losing any definition? I've tried many a time, and have never been able to succeed.

Like, when I usually do it I lose most all of the detail and it's hard to capture what I'm trying to show

Well as far as not losing details goes, I don't start with a lot. I try to keep the overall design fairly simple without taking so much away it's hard to recognize, because most of the detail is in the cuts in the glass and the overall look of the thing.
Also to make something look more Stained Glassy, make everything look like it's made of the geometric shapes with no curves, colour with slightly lighter shades than normal and use thicker lines as outlines, then use the thinest ones for the cuts in the glass.
That's probably a terrible explanation, but putting a non-verbal processes into words is hard. :/

Maybe you were thinking of the boss of Lollipop Land (World 2) in Triple Deluxe, Paintra? After all she is a homage to Drawcia so they look similar.
(I like your username btw.)
