10x8" canvas board with acrylic paint, metallic paint and pen.

One of several pieces I made specifically for display at the "Crazy Reality" Tim Burton tribute group art show exhibit!

I did this one insanely fast, only took me two sittings from sketch to finished painting (which is like lightning for me.) I did this one so quickly because I was running out of time, deadline was coming up quick but I really wanted to try to get at least one piece paying homage to all my favorite Tim Burton films (I love so many though so it was hard to narrow it down!) Edward Scissorhands reminds me of my childhood, when it would be on TV all the time, so I HAD to include it. The limited time meant I couldn't do anything too elaborate or crazy, so I went with recreating the box art in sort of cartoon/caricature style (I feel pretty strong/comfortable in this style/area of caricature, so I really didn't do much second guessing.) Overall, I think it came out nice and I am so happy I got to include it in my collection of paintings.

If you're in the Houston, TX area -you will NOT want to miss this show! So many beautiful pieces on display!
