My Headcanon for what Milo’s family is like!
His father is Alpin, his mother is Heather, and his younger brother is Liam! Their surname is Flockhart!
They own several acres of land just outside of Turffield, known as Flockhart Farms. Their main products are apples and Wooloo wool. They are a subsidiary of Turffield Orchards.

Alpin Flockhart is a jolly man, but with a spitfire temper. He’s owned the farm for generations, and likes to tell stories passed down from his great grandfather.
Beyond the two Boltund he uses to herd Wooloo, his partner is a no-nonsense Dubwool- who helps him haul large loads of apples or fertilizer around. He also has a Heatmor that attacks any pesky bug types that attempt to make off with the Flockhart’s prized apples.

Heather Flockhart helps her husband on the farm, but is a florist at heart. Her tender touch is great for smaller, more delicate gardens. She has an eye for flower arrangement, often decorating the Flockhart cottage with seasonal blooms. She is very soft spoken/reserved, with a fluttery laugh.
Her partner is a motherly Oranguru who is often found babysitting Liam (sometimes against his will). She also has a pet Leafeon and Sylveon, whom she likes to spoil rotten. When not prowling around in the house, Sylveon will search the orchard for hidden Applin like a cat hunting mice.

Liam Flockhart is a snotty rebellious boy who loves his brother, but feels some spite for having to live in a Gym Leader’s shadow. He’s cunning, but often gets into fights he can’t win.
Liam’s partner is a jolly Gossilfeur he hatched himself (from an egg that Milo gifted him). He also has a Yamper leant to him by his father, which he used to make his first catch: an Applin he found hiding in the orchard.

Growing up, Milo was a laid-back kid who liked to please his parents. His favorite things were playing with the Wooloo herds and growing flowers in his mother’s garden.
Milo was never one to enjoy fighting, but Alpin noticed he had some natural talent in Pokemon battling. Not wanting to disappoint his father, Milo became a trainer and pursued a career as a gym leader.
Even as a self-sufficient gym leader, Milo still lives in his family’s cottage and helps on the farm when he can.

Unlike Milo, Liam thinks farm life is banal and has no intention of staying with his parents. In fact, he has big dreams of going on adventures to other regions some day.
Unfortunately, this conflicts with Heather and Alpin’s old-fashioned ideals and expectations of him. “Why can’t you be more like your older brother?!” is something Liam is subjected to often.
Milo supports brother’s dream, though. He sympathizes with Liam on some level, lamenting that he’s stuck in a stressful Gym Leader career because he wasn’t strong enough to tell his father “No” back in the day.

Heather is good friends with Melony, and the two mothers often bond over having Gym Leaders as sons.
Gordie’s siblings are some of Liam’s closest buddies. While the two families live far apart, they often visit each other in Motostoke when Initiation Ceremonies are held.
Milo tried introducing Liam to Bea and Allister. While the three seemed to get along fine, they’re more-so awkward acquaintances than friends, and don’t hang out very often.

Alpin and Heather are often too busy on the farm to come to Milo’s gym matches, but Liam frequently sneaks out of doing his chores to go watch his big brother’s battles.
Milo ‘chastises’ him for going against their parents wishes, but Liam knows that his brother secretly gets very downhearted when he’s not there to watch.

Milo loves his family intensely, especially his brother- whom he considers his closest friend. If anything could break Milo’s unwavering optimism, it would be something happening to them. He’ll do anything in his power to stop any wrongdoers from hurting his loved ones!!
