Well, I finally went back and finished up the image I tried to do a while back for chapter 12 of Sign of the Maker... it was a hard enough thing to write the chapter and not blub - so this was pretty painful - but in that wonderful pain kind of way ^_^The chapter in question is here:

At some point, when deadlines allow, I need to get on with the sequel!

As always, it's the little things that make this. Like the ash falling around them, and their expressions; Anders being so calm and Cortland so distressed. I also love Cortland's armour.
Looking at it hurts, but it's the good kind.

Anders is such a heartbreakingly tragic character. No wonder he has so many fans. The expressions, the tension here - you've captured it all perfectly.
