This is an interesting one, because this isn’t a pairing I thought of immediately, rather, it’s one I sort of stumbled upon by accident when trying to write a sequal to this. Even though I headcanon Mario as aromantic, I still felt like these two had a surprising amount of chemestry, so I decided that not only is Mario not romance repulsed, but he could be one of those aros that likes being in a relationship despite not feeling romantic attraction. After all, I’m on the aromantic spectrum myself, and I would love a relationship someday.
