They are tall trees! You could get a sense of the loneliness, but I don't. I feel they instead show a reaching upwards, or towards the stars. The trees represent hope. This photo draws you in and upwards.
Very good photo Emma. Of course I don't know what you had in mind when you took this, but your photos are always 'well designed'. They show a level of planning and I admire the 'intelligence' of your work. I could be wrong ... but I doubt it.

You don't have say you're sorry. Some people just write a "one word answer" to my comments.
I think the title suits the photo perfectly! It's what I do all the time, look up at the trees and marvel at their height and say something like, "such tall trees". That's when I usually trip over something! lol lol lol
I agree, it's everywhere all around you ... "beauty"! You just have to look for it and appreciate it! Never take it for granted.

This is such an amazing shot, with the back lighting, and the twisted silhouettes of the trees, it just comes alive with possibilities for the situation. It would be so easy to place this vision into so many ways. No matter what your mood or mindset, this is a photo that grabs your attention.

I understand that, I am in the home of monster trees, here in the Pacific Northwest. There are some very dense areas where you can walk in a very short distance, and you cannot see back out to the road. It is very humbling to be there.
