It is a magical time of the day Emma and you have captured it perfectly! I love how the colours seem to blend together ... blue, mauve, yellow, orange and red ... ... purple with red spots ... I think I may have been staring at it for too long!!! I'm feeling dizzy!

It definitely was, it was beautiful standing there (there was quite a nice cool breeze too) 
It is strange... Most pictures with vivid skies I've seen have been taken during sunset... I think most people don't want to get out of bed in the morning (especially if it is cold)!

True, I don't think people want to get out of bed early, but it can be worth it. Beautiful sunrises don't seem to last as long as sunsets for some reason.
