Love the way you described this in such simple and brief words and yet still made a powerful impact, to me at least along with this photo. Sometimes you can understand a person's feeling more from looking at the back then looking at the face. Because from the face, anyone could lie with their expression. And I thought of this as I looked at this photo...by the way. This reminded of a song called Truth about Heaven from Armor For Sleep.

it's an incredible idea and it's beautiful in many ways, but you may want to try to touch up the edges around the girl. I can look right there and tell it's fake, i'm sorry to bring bad news

I recognise the style you are trying to acheive. Very close to home.
The two images you have used are great pieces to work with..but they contrast so harshly it is very easy to see the render. Notice that the background image is very sharp in contrast to the girl, who's features are very dull (as in - the detail has not been picked up by the camera and therefore the image isnt sharp), which means that despite good work with cutting around the subject, the two images dont fuse because both are of a very different quality. Also I notice that some of her dress appears to just..float on air.
I hope you don't take this the wrong way. It's a nice image, I'm just throwing advice around.

well to start off with, its very contrast-y, so it makes it kind of hard on the eyes...
and you should definately think about resizing it a little, makes it easier to view,
and try to blend her in a touch better, she's too "cut" out, if you know what i mean.
I'm not trying to be mean or anything, i'm just trying to help.
i do think its a very nice peice, but it would be all that much better if you fixed some little things.
(oh and i agree with enchanteddeathfairy about the skirt)

Wow. This is simply amazing. I have to say that I disagree with the girls skirt doesnt blend with it. Id have to say that the skirt look like she is sitting on a cloud which is totally awesome. Since the theme is that she was in heaven, the fact that she was sitting on a cloud was freaing amazing. So, sorry to contradict, but I like it.

The girl's skirt doesn't blend too well with the area she's sitting around. I figure someone might as well give you real criticism. Sorry if you take it offensively, I'm just trying to help since you just started.
You also might want to reduce your image's resolution to around 700xwhatever. It can be distracting from the piece if the person constantly has to scroll over.
