Jenni moved through the streets of San Francisco with a morbid curiosity. She knew now that the chances of any innocents being found would be slim to none. She knew that the invaders had killed those not of use and any that could have helped them had been taken away and used as either swaps or forced to work for them.

But that hadn’t stopped her, she had to see if there was any small chance that her wife and daughter were alive, so she walked though these devastated streets in hope that one of these days she finds a sign from them telling her a location.

She has to. Without them she has no one else to keep her anchored to the waking world. She just has to hope that the Lord is looking down on her and gives her a sign.
