That's actually a good canon concept. I'm from the Philippines as well.
Here's a little breakdown to it:
Luzon is the largest island of the three. Here, is also where the National Capital Region is found.
Luz is like the leader and the smart one of the group, always up to date of the new things of time.
Visayas is the smallest of the three, consisting of small islands. This is also the province part of the Philippines
Vi is the small, somewhat cute and naive filly, quite innocent of the things around her.
Mindanao is the second largest island. It's also close to some other countries like Malaysia and Indonesia, so island claim is somewhat of an issue, more often than not, in an aggressive way.
Minda is the somewhat aggressive type filly. She doesn't like "drama of life", has a straight forward attitude, BRUTALLY honest and gets the job done as soon as possible and as efficient as possible.
