A small house could be an alternative but it may end up making it look a bit cluttered.

This is an amazing icon, definitely needed.
I do agree with you on the whole reasoning behind moving. While I do not mind when someone says they want to move because of a name, I'm more prone to agreeing with those who have something rather silly, such as "pokechu28477". When it's something like Emotikons, Rattlekitten, Shinerai, Shrineart, I feel like those are names that were sat down and thought about, even if they really weren't. While names are labels and people have this 'thing' about having the right label, getting a new account is just as much work as sitting in your gallery and organizing, removing, and adding pictures, deleting polls and journals, and in general pulling a little Spring cleaning on the account.
Most of the time, when people ask whether or not they should move, I outright tell them what their main motivation at the moment is for moving. If it's not to move to a more professional name so that their DA accounts can be treated as portfolios, or so that they may have a more professional looking account (such as comments on their current account being those of lesser maturity, which doesn't really matter because people are bound to do that to begin with.)
But this icon? 8| Definitely needed.

Oh, I could understand that 'name upgrade' too. I don't agree with it - chances are you've built up an identity with that name. Watchers, art, reputation, etcetra. But I understand it. Particularly in the 'professional' sense, though in reality if a potential emplyer asks for your portfolia, and you link them to deviantART, you'll be laughed out of the interview. (deviantART's 'accept all art regardless of quality' label has made it a relatively muddy name among many - if not most - 'true' professionals).
However it boggles the mind when someone moves from "pokechu28477" to "OXOiluvkira375" or something equally (if not more) retarded.
Ideally someone wants a name that is easy to remember (such as Emotikonz or Rattlekitten) - phrases, words, or alternative spelling of words are preferred. If there are numbers, they are better as 1337 than addons.... ~Dev10us or something maybe, I dunno. Some numbers are alright (one of my favourite users is *rooster82 ) but even then there can be confusion (I keep thinking it's 42, after *The-Paper-Lady-42 ). Generally though, number portray a lack of originality and WHOA I went off-topic here.

Aye. Tell me about it *rolls eyes* I definitely get where you're coming from. XD. I think I've had about four friends consider changing their accounts, just to separate their school/work content in comparison with their habitual and doodling content. But honestly? That shit bugs me too. I mean seriously, all of the art one does, all of the names they go by, that is all part of what that person is. Why should you honestly need to hide one part of you in order to get somewhere or promote something. Eventually, if that part you're hiding decides to dominate over the part you're advertising, people are going to notice, and all that does is set you up for the typical Presidental Campaigns. Dig up as much dirt on your enemy as possible and make it public.
Not so big a deal when all you do is already public. >3.

I started =Emotikonz since I had already made like... 50 and didn't want to spam *Karsciyin with them... but ETK has taken over, and now I've merged back into ETK (since this has the exposure, groups and subs). Don't know what I'm going to do regarding serials on Kars though (Like Katana vs Cutlass) - probably link to the old ones but upload them here.

I had Rattlecat originally. But when that whole 4Chan Hates Furries crew came through and hacked into DA accounts of furries, they considered me one and hacked it, then posted a shit ton of fetus pictures and had my account banned.
XD Not that I cared. I needed a new account anyway just because of the fact I had so many deviations and at the time and age I just really didn't feel like reorganizing. Thus, Rattlekitten.

Most people do. XD. I actually still have some people who come to me, even after all the years and go "Rattlecat is banned?" "It's Rattlekitten honey. It's been banned. XD"
DA took so long and their process was ridiculous, it just really wasn't worth the effort to get the account back. Took three months after my initial appeal of unbanning the account just to get a response that they "needed more information." I just told them "Forget it. I'd rather make a new account if I must."
