The icon would probably have to be bigger than that to affect people that have epilepsy. I've seen that banned Pokemon episode in Youtube of the blue and red flashing lights, and the regular size video (not full screen) was enough to make my eyes hurt. However, this doesn't affect me a bit.

Well, my mother has issues with flashing, even if it's small. It's very distracting and she just gives up trying to do anything on a page with flashing.

Makes sense. I never had seizures before and yet I am playing video games.

Hmm... well, maybe be on the safe side?
I don't know... yours is more changing colours smoothly than lots of little flashing lights. People get seixures from playing video games - not because the games have flashing colours either. (I presume it's because of the way LCD televisions refresh with a super-fast blinking.)
