The Golden Expanse

The Golden expanse covers the inner core of the Ancerious Galaxy, once a well populated and magnificent area of the galaxy resplendent in rich resources and colonised worlds. This was in the era of peace between the ancient races of the galaxy, before the old world was destroyed by the war. The Flux Nakai war devastated the Golden Expanse, with both sides invading each others worlds and strip mining the nebulas and the like for resources the Golden Expanse was finally destroyed fully after one of the main battles where the Nakai and Flux used weapons of terrible power, destabilising space and time in that area and condemning the area to be torn apart by anomalies and Singularities. Now the Golden Expanse is a gleaming remnant of a bygone age. Containing hidden worlds of those beauty, time slips which engage old fleets and forces locked in recurring battles and artefacts and ruins of the bygone age. But to traverse the Expanse is treacherous, nearly any who go in are lost forever with only the shallow areas being able to be explored with difficulty, either way many a race sends expeditions into this great region to find once again the wonders that lay within.
