Sorry for anyone who expect a cute art from me, this painting is one of fine art works for my fine art study project.
If I use 100% of ''anime style'' in fine art, My teachers will kick my works off.
***concept***
I want to tell about my friends who smoke and drinking alcohols when working. and that's really made me sick.
and the pinkish creams on the top of buildings is not desserts, they're pinkish stools.
[ you can see many of flies around them]the picture might blur a little as I can't scan this work with my A4 scanner but using a poor digital camera instead, sorry

Looks very anime style to me! But I think this is a perfect blend of anime and fine art... the concept is strong and the painting style is bold, so it stands alone well instead of just having value as anime art, which is what people often do wrongish, I think. D: You are one of the people at the beginning of the anime-that's-gonna-be-in-fine-art-museums movement that so many people dread. XD;; (weather or not you plan to go for museums, it's still that type of thing, IMO..)
By the way, I love this.. the composition is so cool and I love all the red eyes, especially the one staring right at me.

Hey man, there's nothing wrong with branching out in your style. I love the colors you used and the smoke, the whole concept is really interesting. This is really unique for the anime gallery (or really any gallery xD)
I visited an art school once and I know what you're talking about, though, it seemed like everyone outside was smoking |P Yumm

I love Utah for having the Clean Air Act, where people have to smoke outside, rather than inside. Of course, if your friends really respect you, they should also smoke outside. Sorry that your friends do that junk, its just nasty. Then again, if they get so drunk that they pass out, you can dress them up or draw on their faces with permanant marker. XD

We have that rule/law in NewYork as well. Though it's somewhat annoying since almost any time you go into a building (be it school, a mall/store, etc.) there's always a handful of smokers puffing away x_x
When I was still in college I always had to hold my breath whenever I left a building since there would always be at least half a dozen people huddled by the door (especially in winter) smoking their lungs out. The whole thing makes me ill x_x;;

I don't drink (well, except for when I was the only adolescent in the room and the next youngest person was nearing 50 and I had to drink wine because their water wasn't clean) or smoke. And I never will. It's not "un-cute", in fact, I like the way you made this one.
I guessed that the pinkish stuff were stools, and it's an instant favorite. The details are good, and even the style is good as well. Keep it up!
I have the some experience about the "If I use 100% of ''anime style'' in fine art, My teachers will kick my works off" part, except for the fact that I was forcibly sent to Oil Painting lessons for a wee when I was age 5. I draw greeting cards which I sell to people not less than 21 years of age, and my mother tells me that if I draw 100% "anime style" for my cards, nobody would buy my cards, and nobody buying my card means another US $1,000+ wasted for production cost, a half summer of my life devoted to drawing roughly 50 works wherein only 12 were selected, last week cramming for layout and converting the files into CYMK from RGB color mode, and no money to give to my beneficiary.
Even the ONLY drawing that I made of a girl was only 10% anime styled and 90% cartoon... Sometimes, life doesn't allow us humans to do what we desire to do.
I swear, I wish that I could draw like that. Then people could buy my cards even if they cost half a US dollar a card.

I like your drawing. I think you know exactly how to combine "fine-art" with such a comercial style like manga, to make something realy cool (that happens with all your drawings).
