Kinda like Bolt and Starling as a couple. They were sweet. But alas in the end it was lack of communication that ended it.
Yeah he shouldn't have disregarded how she was feeling after the whole possession thing but at the same time she shouldn't have assumed he would be okay after what happened.
Being r-worded by two possessed heroes he called friends and a villain wearing the skin of his girlfriend. And not just physical but mental violation too. Whatsherface put Bolt through the exact same torment she put Starling through. Of course he wasn't gonna be peachy after that.
In the end they both messed up by failing to communicate to each other on how they were feeling. Never assume in a relationship, always ask and talk otherwise you get nowhere and end up losing each other in the process.
Hopefully they get a chance to air everything they were feeling out and be rid of the awkwardness between them.

Yeah after what that psycho did no one was coming out of it unscathed (which you did a grand job of showing by the way. They may all be heroes but they're still human).
