Done a couple days back, experimenting with edgy backgrounds.Idk, drawing this kind of art gives me a lot of vague memories.. This scene was inspired by my
trip the The Hague last week, but it could be set in pretty much any city in Europe, or maybe even beyond.
Used reference for the graffity. Done in Sai, probably around 1.5 hours

I never thought to use blending layers for anything other than painted color effects, totally going to use that now ^-^

all kinds of textures, but I think it worked quite well in here.

I love the atmosphere in this one! It definitely makes me remember the feel of the cities in Europe I've visited (Paris, Amsterdam, and Berlin)! My favorite part about it was that there were always a bunch of different styles of art on the same wall, so it always made it neat to look at, and you did a great job emulating that!

of architectural styles, which both creates a unique atmosphere and tells a story.

Amsterdam was honestly my favorite city I went to on that trip! Something about the vibe there was very rejuvenating and I could tell that there was a lot of creativity going on there. A few other people I was with were annoyed by the bikes, but I thought it was really awesome that bikes were the most popular mode of travel, even if they were pretty aggressive at times haha. I liked how the crosswalk lights made different sounds depending on if you could go or stop. That really added some character to the city too because it even /sounded/ different from other cities. I thought the canals were gorgeous of course, and I loved that once it became dark it was time for people to go party on their little boats on the canals haha. I also loved the mix of food! There were so many different types of food to enjoy from so many different cultures. It was just an all-around awesome experience to be there, and I wish I could've stayed longer to become more immersed in the culture.

I must admit, bikers are kinda rude here sometimes xD And they're easily
annoyed by tourists. And yup, it's a real party city ._. Personally I also like our capital,
I also think it's rather different from other European capitals but it's nice if someone else
can confirm that. The mix of food might be due to the fact that there live people of many
different origins in the city and Dutch people are generally very open to influences of other
cultures. I still wonder where our obsession with some of our odd snacks came from, though
