Day Ten
I MADE IT ON TIME. YAY. How fitting for Daemon.
I'm getting to the point now where I look back on the first drawings I did in this series and I don't like things about them. Gah! Art sucks like that. I feel like I've already improved after just ten drawings, which is great, but I want to fix things! But I have to push forward.
Maybe once they're all done, I'll go back and clean things up.

Daemon was a great character.Β I just feel they made her too "cute".Β I understand the irony they were going for, but I just think they could have made her creepier, more like Hexadecimal, or Lens.Β

Oh, how I wish the fight between Daemon and Hexadecimal lasted longer. Anyway, lamenting aside, wonderful work. You really get the feeling that she thinks what she's doing is right and, in a strange way, you kind of want to become on with the Word.

That's what I thought too, that Daemon looked like a sprite with a French accent. She was quite lovely inside and out even though her programming made her dangerous to the entire Net and beyond.Β

I think she was used like a counterpart of religions that spread around and just try to undermise everything else, forcing their ideals on everybody.

The best villains are not intentionally villainous-as horrible as their actions may be, they believe themselves to be doing the right thing and that the ends justify the means. Daemon viewed herself as an agent of order and peace-but her idea of order was also repressive, more akin to enslavement than freedom.

I wish there'd been a way to reform her as she wasn't evil like Megabyte, her encoded programming caused her to try and destroy the Net. The real villain is the User who created her and made her into a "destroy everything" type super virus. No doubt the User was a religious nut who hated advanced technology and saw it as luring people away from God or something stupid like that.....

Daemon was a derangedly awesome villainess. Especially how she sold herself as a messiah. You've certainly done her justice here.

I always liked Hex. more than Daemon, I guess because Daemon is creepy, and I never knew about the fourth season until I got out of college. It's a really cool picture anyway.
