As I am sure, most of you are familiar with the Westboro Baptist Church. For those who aren't, this group is infamous for showing up at soldiers funerals holding signs with different slogans saying this is God's punishment, and God hates them.Not long ago when the Sago mine tragedy occurred they showed up at the miners funerals holding signs explaining this happened because west virginia is a 'fag' state and this was gods punishment.
To their surprise, they were face to face with the Hells Angels motorcycle gang, blocking them from getting any closer to the funeral.

They are worst Christians ever. All they are doing is spreading hatred and judgment all around, even making their religion to shameβ¦even they are EVERYWHERE. Like whenever there is a football game; they are there saying that everyone are sinners and going to hell.Β
Also saying that god hates homosexuals even Jesus hated homosexuals, but can they explain this to me;
While most up-there religious officials of the time would have avoided the elderly, the sick, the destitute, the whores, Jesus hung out with them. It's rumored that Jesus was one of the first feminists, not afraid to hang out with women and talk with them as if they were "men". He would speak at the wells with the prostitutes and tax collectors; Jesus WAS the common people. Jesus wasn't one of those guys who walk around high and mighty, saying he's "above" people- NO. He was THE SON OF GOD and he allowed himself to consort with all sorts of lower-class people.
Why?
Because Jesus was down to earth.
Jesus didn't call everything he disliked "Satanic". He didn't kill people, shoot doctors, criticize people for their vices and lifestyles, or protest. Jesus loved.Β
Jesus was into Love and Tolerance not hatred and Judgment. He was a very accepting man who sat with societyβs βrejects,β such as mentioned as lepers and homosexuals. Some have claimed Jesus was even the first champion for equal rights, as he stated that all people were equal before God, and are judged on who they are, not what they are.
Westboro Baptist Church think they know everything and represents the whole Christian...everything, keep in mind that Jesus wouldn't do that.
He would NOT support Westboro Baptist Church, He would NOT kill abortionists. He would NOT tell women what to do and what not to do with their bodies. He would NOT protest funerals, he would NOT beat a gay man to death, and he would most certainly NOT look down on anybody because of their addictions or vices or genetics.
Why?
Jesus loved them for who they are and forgave their imperfections.
Which Westboro and some other christians, do not.Β

The Gospel is being hijacked by people who know nothing about the saving grace of Jesus. Β Yes, indeed, He hates sin, but He also sits on a thone of grace today to call people to Him to be saved. Β The only way to overcome the high volume of doctrines of demons is to be spirit-filled and preaching the Gospel courageously in His love.

Once again a big bible fail by the WBC. The small inscription on the sign that is saying "God is your enemy" most like says Jer 21:5, which is: "I myself will fight against you with an outstretched hand and a mighty arm in anger and fury and great wrath." But this means that God was angry with the nation of Israel have stopped praising him and started praising the gods of the surrounding nations...Apparently God doesn't like competition.
Besides, this chapter descripes the destruction of a city, not the entire world.

I saw a feature about them on 20/20 one time. They were completely rude to the interviewer and calling biblical philosophers "frauds". Also, their children were filled with hate when they made comments like, "You'll burn forever" or "God hates fags". It's completely disgusting!

There is a self-appointed "ministry" / "church" (if you really want to call it that) in the United States that promotes the slogan "God hates fags!" This group pickets gay parades, gay bars, gay events, etc. This group has even picketed the funerals of gay people, shouting to the attendees that the gay person is now burning in Hell for being a "fag." On its website, this group has a counter which updates daily how long a certain gay person has supposedly been in Hell. Recently, the "God hates fags" group has even begun protesting at military funerals, claiming that the soldier was killed because the USA is supporting the homosexual agenda.
BUT DOES GOD REALLY HATE FAGS?
Proverbs 6:16-19 tells us, "There are six things the LORD hates, seven that are detestable to him: haughty eyes, a lying tongue, hands that shed innocent blood, a heart that devises wicked schemes, feet that are quick to rush into evil, a false witness who pours out lies and a man who stirs up dissension among brothers." Notice that homosexuality does NOT make this list. It would be more Biblically accurate to promote phrases such as "God hates liars" and "God hates murderers." In fact, the Bible NOWHERE directly states that God hates homosexuals or homosexuality.
Now of course, that does not mean that the Bible approves of homosexuality. The Bible consistently tells us that homosexuality is a sin (Genesis 19:1-13; Leviticus 18:22; Romans 1:26-27; 1 Corinthians 6:9). Homosexuality is described as an abomination. Romans 1:26-27 teaches explicitly that homosexuality is a result of a continual rebellion against God. When a person continues in disbelief, the Bible tells us that God βgives them over,β God allows them to experience their sinful desires and the resulting consequences. 1 Corinthians 6:9 proclaims that homosexuals will not inherit the kingdom of God. Homosexuality is immoral and unnatural. It is a perversion of the "natural order" and more importantly, God's view of sex.
With all that said, the Bible does NOT describe homosexuality as a βgreaterβ sin than any other. ALL SIN is offensive to God. Homosexuality is just one of the many things listed in 1 Corinthians 6:9-10 that will keep a person from the kingdom of God. According to the Bible, Godβs forgiveness is JUST as available to a homosexual as it is to an adulterer, idol worshipper, murderer, thief, etc. God also PROMISES the strength for victory over sin, including homosexuality, to all those who will believe in Jesus Christ for their salvation (1 Corinthians 6:11; 2 Corinthians 5:17).
Does God hate homosexuals? NO.
Does God approve of homosexuality? Absolutely not.
Can a person truly be a Christian and at the same time a practicing homosexual? No. (1 Corinthians 6:9).
Can a practicing homosexual who has given his heart to Christ be saved? Yes, but this means no more practicing homosexuality. Sure the person may be considered a practicing homosexual at the time of his/her being saved, but after that, they have a responsibility to no longer practice such things. Just as how any person has the responsibility to not practice any sin after he/she becomes saved. And itβs not as if God expects the newly saved homosexual to stay pure on his/her own. Instead, God PROMISES the strength for VICTORY over sin, including homosexuality, to all those who will believe in Jesus Christ for their salvation.
The "God hates fags" ministry FAILS MISERABLY in the message it proclaims. Ephesians 4:15 instructs us to "speak the truth...IN LOVE." 1 Peter 3:15 teaches us to proclaim the truth, but to do so with "GENTLENESS AND RESPECT." We must uphold the truth of God's Word in proclaiming the sinfulness of homosexuality. However, we must uphold this truth in a loving, gentle, and respectful manner. We must warn homosexuals about the eternal dangers of continued rebellion against God. At the same time, our message should be focused on the forgiveness and freedom from sin that is available through the Lord Jesus Christ.
So in conclusion, anyone who says "God hates fags" is a fool and is not a Christian in my opinion, for to be a Christian one must be educated about the God of the Bible, and if one believes that God actually hates fags more than He hates any other sinner, that person is uneducated.

Other than that, some logic here proves to be pure win, especially when compared to Westboro's Jewish- ehh, Christian beliefs (well, they do follow the old testament and that only, don't they?)
