Happy Holidays. Have a super colourful Steven Universe piece.Somehow I managed to ink and colour this one all in one day--that's not usually a thing I do. A bunch of commissions are soon to follow.
The sketch was from months ago, however; from around the same time I was sketching Dr. Fate and Miyuki from Basquash. I'll be perfectly honest, I had absolutely no inkling of what I wanted to do for the background (shocking, I know) so I just tinkered with lines and circles in a way that I hoped somewhat resembled the background styling of the show itself.
The shading method was... an impulse.
As per usual (but for some reason must be specified on this site) critique is welcomed, appreciated and encouraged.

Ok i must start with this,just to say,that i am a crappy artist and i probably not the best critic but i will give it my best shot.
Just browsing DA,this piece just stoke me!Overall this is a wonderfull piece of work.
First the background.Its realy good.Knowing very little about the show,i can still say this sort of think would be in it!Very well done
The coloring/inking is realy very striking!I cant sat much why i find it so appiling but i do!
The characters are very well proporionate and detailed, especialy since the cartoon is kinda basic in style (at least in my opinion).The only think that kinda rubs me the wrong way is steven face.Just the most spaced out face ever(it kinda looks like a manaken )
But over all this is a damn good piece of artwork!

Wow! I like the colors and textures! The background design fits well with the characters. : D
Together, It looks like a greeting/birthday card. I imagine seeing some form of text on the hair side of the picture and under Amethyst.
