Both halves of Jean-Louis represent a fairly bright young man who takes great interest in those around him. It’s easy to pique his curiosity and keep his attention. He’s patient and a good listener. The two heads get along remarkably well for a Zweilous, treating each other like close heh brothers rather than rivals. At other times they function as the same person. It’s complicated. While he seems as socially outgoing as Lou, he’s secretly much more anxious and timid. However, he is also much more sweet and polite. He’s unsure of himself and fears disappointing people and tends to let others walk all over him. Jean really just aims to please and tends to come off as a little naive despite the intelligence he should have. Though he does his best to be honest, he is easily convinced to turn back on his morals if he thinks it’s in his best interest. He’s a bit of a coward and just wants to avoid pain/conflict.

However, once he really thinks he’s right, he is right. At his worst, he can really only show his displeasure through being passive aggressive.

While just as chatty, Lou is quickly characterized as more sarcastic and snide than his counterpart. He loves to tease others and push their buttons- he swears he does so playfully but he also seems to just enjoy arguing. He’s a lot more willing to take risks if he thinks there’s something to gain from it, even if it’s just entertainment. He requires constant distraction, be it through conversation, hobbies, etc- most of his teasing or lying is done out of boredom. Despite his mischief, he really does value company as he gets lonely easily. He can be pretty selfless for those he cares about.

He’s patient, but not as patient as Jean- he will actually do something when someone upsets him. He’s stubborn when irritated and doesn’t forgive very easily.

History:
Jean-Louis was born to a wealthy family in Opelucid City. His father owned a large mansion in the traditional side of town, and his mother made a more than respectable living. Jean-Louis grew up in conditions that would leave most kids spoiled rotten. The young Deino was provided with any technology available to assist him with the blindness typical of his species and attended only the best schools in the city.
  As he grew up he befriended a young Doduo a few years younger than him. Jean-Louis was more than a little curious about him- while he was used to multi-headed mon due to the Hydreigon in his family, he had yet to meet one quite as... strange as this Doduo. The two became friends as the Doduo fueled Jean-Louis’ growing interest in psychology and other mon. The Schuyler parents took to the young bird as well- he practically became part of the family.
  In time this became quite literal. After the young bird’s family trouble at home, he was eventually adopted into the Schuyler family. Jean-Louis was overjoyed by the development- he had a little brother! The two remained close as they grew up and life carried on as normal.
  Graduation came and Jean-Louis, still a Deino, was off to college. He was sent to attend a small but respectable school in Lacunosa, studying to become a teacher similar to his father. However, soon into his first year, he started to contemplate evolution. The school was really too small for his taste and life without his family, especially his brother, was a lot lonelier than he expected. Maybe an extra head would give him someone to talk to..? Jean-Louis started to take training seriously, battling more to work towards his evolution. Finally, he got it.
  Although the new setup took some getting used to, both heads were relieved to find they got along pretty well. They split their name between them, one going by ‘Jean’ and the other by ‘Louis’- later shortened to just ‘Lou’. Having been the same person for 18 years and sharing those memories, it was natural for them to be near identical in personality. However, as each head has its own brain, it was a matter of time before they adopted some differences. Different aspects of their initial personality were brought to the surface in each half. Jean took on their sweet, polite front as well as their more anxious side. Lou became more playful as well as more confrontational. They managed to strike a balance between the two personalities, playing to each other's strengths as well as possible.
  The two adapted to their new life in college. In addition to the second head, Jean-Louis could now see! Their studying in school was accompanied by learning their way around with vision. The first year of college went by, and the second, and part of the third and…
  Lou was getting bored. Frustratedly bored. The novelty of their evolution was wearing off and his growing need for distraction was getting more and more difficult to deal with. The place was just too stifling! Jean on the other hand was retreating into his studies and their hobbies, less willing to go along with his other half’s plans. Lou got ornery and argumentative, Jean would sometimes say nothing at all. It was clear they weren't able to balance each other as well as before.
  Lou thought a change of schools would bring a change of pace. Jean, while hesitant, thought it would be good to get away from the few enemies they (Lou) had made. The plan was Lou would tone himself down (a little) and Jean would get out of his shell more... and Lou got to pick the school, of course. Hearthome wasn't the biggest of cities but it was a new region and- unknown to Jean- Desta college had some promising lore...

His eyesight is pretty bad. Without those glasses he’s functionally blind.
They each control their respective half of the body. However they can relinquish control of their respective limbs to each other whenever they like, or try to force control.
  -If one head is sleeping, the other will have full control of the whole body.
They can both feel what’s happening on both halves of their body. If you punch Lou in the arm, they’ll both feel it- Lou will feel it more strongly, but Jean will still feel it.
  -On the other hand, if you punch Lou in the face, Jean would only just barely feel it.
  -The closer you are to the middle of their body, the more evenly sensations are felt.
As a Deino, Jean-Louis was left-handed. Since Jean took over the left side, he’s a little more coordinated than Lou.
They have wings but they’re too small to fly or glide with. They just poof up or idly flap sometimes.
They’re both very heavy sleepers.
The head crest antennae thingies move expressively.
Their necks are pretty flexible- they can scrunch up and stretch out a bit.

You can use He and They pronouns interchangeably. They don’t mind being counted as one person or two.
He’s quite the night owl.
Neither head is keen on evolving into Hydreigon, considering there’s a good chance they’d become one person again and effectively lose their ‘twin.’ They always carry an everstone for this reason.
