Here's the black & grey linework version of this piece.

This was commissioned by a good friend of mine who wanted a tattoo based on the famous Renaissance painting 'St. Michael Vanquishing Satan' by Raphael.
I designed my own take of Raphael's work, incorporating influences from other works of the same subject. The piece is obviously a little too detailed to be used 'as is' for a tattoo, but I thought I'd leave it up to the tattooist as far as what details are used and what aren't.

Anyway, I'm pretty happy with it and I'd love to see some comments/critiques.

3D modelling > Poser7, ZBrush3, Cinema 4D r10: 15 hours
Digital painting + postwork > Photoshop CS2: 10 hours
