Never wondered about their name and their curse? Or maybe the "Red Thirst" should have been a hint or their fangs that are described as unnatural long all the time, while their successors like the "Blood Drinkers" could have been a little tip too..
BTW: Their newer novel "Dante" goes deep into this topic.....or should I say "sinks its teeth into it"?

No, Curze is Bizarro Batman. Fun fact: Sanguine means blood, and a "sanguinic" is a light minded, happy, optimistic and creative person, according to an old (and long forgotten for good reasons) form of social psychology.
