My last minute entry for the Doctor Who tumblr tumbler tumblr contest [link] Here is my submission on tumblr [link]
It is a mixed media piece (watercolor, colored pencil, acrylic, and an oil paint pen on canvas paper). It took approximately 7 hours, I'd say. It was a pretty lengthy process, but very fun.

This is the first Dalek that you see in Season 1 of the new Who; the one that gets touched by Rose and begins to have feelings. I absolutely adore this moment. It is so sweet that all he wants is freedom and to feel the sun. I tried to capture his despair, thinking he was the last Dalek, in the moments before he exterminated himself.
