Gaaaaaaaah DA made this blurry I think my heart just broke. Oh well. Pretend this is crisp and not blurry and that's what it actually looks like <__<ANYWAY MY GOD IT'S DONE. This is my Round Two Entry for !!!! Tidus and I were pitted against *Seraphim210 and Squall from Final Fantasy 8. I'll put her entry up here when she submits it!
A freak meteor shower on the Mi'ihen Highroad caught Tidus and Squall off guard, but Tidus, being quick on his feet both figuarively and literally, decided to use the sudden change of events to his advantage! And instead of Blitz Ace-ing a blitzball, he used a meteorite instead! Will Squall be able to react in time? Will space meet his face? Will his pretty boy face-scar soon have friends? Will that mysterious blue backlighting save him?? YOU DECIDE!!
I feel like I moved heaven and earth to finish this in time. Why on earth did I do something so ambitious when I'm so busy. WHY. WOW.
I wish I had Squall's fun jacket.

BUT GOSH WOW. This is actually one of the most wonderful pictures I think you've ever done! Not only for the composition and the colours but the fact that you stepped out of your comfort zone with HUMANS and also put them in the MOST COMPLEX POSING EVER! Seriously, I've been drawing humans for years longer than you and I seriously wouldn't be able to pull an image off like you have here! It's simply gorgeous.
All the sunsetty colours are just delicious and mixing that with fire of the metero shower is wonderful, you have to be careful with using a certain palette or everything looks part-and-parcel of the same thing, but everything stands out and the whole picture has this really awesome depth to it.
The funky perspective on the background is really nicely done as well, the water is great (as are the textures of it) and the bridge and those rocks! WOOOOOOW! There's so much going on and it's wonderful.
I love the backlighting on Squall's trousers X3 I wish I'd been given my first choice and had Squall and his jackety goodness. Ah well, Anubis would have kicked my butt either way, haha...

When I first saw this piece I linked all of my friends on Skype and face-desked. It's truly brilliant. One thing we commended highly was the angle, because that was probably the most difficult thing to achieve. It amazes me, how much effort and awesomeness you can combine at once. I applaud you, wonderful work!

My opponent didn't even put up a fight. To be honest, it was a little disappointing and frustrating. I just really have a lot going on. It's a standard excuse, I know - but man. It's true. 100 projects, packing, vacation, college fund/planning, friend drama, etc. Life is tough at the moment, and it probably is for you too. For everyone.

What a FANTASTIC idea for a battle scene too! If only Tidus could really punt Meteors in Blitzball... I'd never lose a game! Oh and i'm totally routing for space to meet Squall's face! Or who knows maybe that blue back-lighting will save him?

If Tidus could somehow figure out how to kick flaming rocks at people underwater, I'd be genuinely impressed. Though knowing Tidus he'd just keep whining until he figured it out. BUT I *WANT* EVERYTHING. BUT YES THANK YOU SO MUCH!! One of these days I should use this challenge for getting better at faces like I'm supposed to <__<. But in the meantime, colors it is!
