I haven't built kits in years and I'd love to make one of them; plus the big armored looking version. There are so many great kits out there now.

enc86 In reply to zombiequadrille [2013-06-03 00:36:00 +0000 UTC]
there are alot of great kits out there now a days. and with the internet getting them is a lot easier.
the small aerosani was under $10us and the bigger armored one was somewhere under $20. both very nice kits and worth every penny.

zombiequadrille In reply to enc86 [2013-06-05 23:00:06 +0000 UTC]
Very reasonable. I was buying Tamiya tank kits back in 1971 when they were $10 or so. I haven't checked any of them lately.

enc86 In reply to zombiequadrille [2013-06-05 23:02:51 +0000 UTC]
Tamiya is still a great brand. most of their kits from the 70's - 80's are under $20us.some of the newer kits run from 30-50 but are worth it.

NEMAHTY? whats that?
π: 0 β©: 1
enc86 In reply to 5485studios [2013-05-28 01:07:45 +0000 UTC]
this kit manufacturer(trumpeter) has a habit of making the marking wrong or of little historical value(it looks cool tho)
someone did tell me the "NEMAHTY" refers to a brave young Russian who died during combat and some Russian vehicles printed his name as a tribute.

5485studios In reply to enc86 [2013-05-28 01:24:10 +0000 UTC]
oh, so its not just some weird Russian letters thrown on to make it look all WW2y?
π: 0 β©: 1
enc86 In reply to 5485studios [2013-05-28 01:28:19 +0000 UTC]
i have heard that its not and it does have some significance . i wasn't able to dig anything up but i only can read English. that was what i was told anyways.
but this brand has been know to play fast and loose with he Russian letters. think they jut make things look cool and say thats good enough. alot of times their color charts are wayyyyy off to.

god i know. as i was building them i keep thinking how freaking scary it must of been to load up on one and go hunt down the Germans. there really isn't much to them and the hulls are very thin.
