I know, I think it's almost always under some kind of construction.

For the last 5-6 years for sure, don't know about before that. Those photographs were probably made with carefully choosing an angle (like I did) or with a tilt-shift lens.

Thanks! You might be right, I am not sure if I was on my knees or not. The building is so big that it probably makes no difference. And the fu***** enthasis is there as well.

It is not the type of photograph youβll find in a book with facts because it alters some information like size, ratios and it lack the other side. Maybe this one will end up in a book (If you write one)

Athens is a lovely city to visit (I have been few times). This photograph gives a hint of what Acropolis looks like but donβt expect too much of it.

Thanks. I think that this was only angle that leaving the construction out of the way and yet all of the building could fit into a standard lens. (the only one I got)

And yet you managed so well!
Great angle and shot, I love the contrast between the Parthenon and the sky. The shadows cast on each column by the one in front of it are neat as well.

Thanks! I think I reduced the metal to the minimum; there still are some parts of the metal structure visible, but the strong converging lines are leading the eye out of the way. As for the shadows, they came in package with the sun and I waited for it to get low.

Great angle. You captured the colors and the detail of the Parthenon [and the sky, too!] quite excellently.

Thank you. Clarity is an imperative for me so all my photographs (at least the new ones) are as clear as this one.
