Well, this is my entry to the "Battle of Visuals" contest hosted by digital artist "VisualsOptimist". You can check out his awesome profile on Instagram - www.instagram.com/visualsoptim…

Now, about the artwork, the very first thing that came into my mind after looking at the aeroplane wreckage stock image was a nuclear apocalypse. But, since the theme of the contest was "Dramatic", I wanted to do something with the lights. So, I blended the ideas to create a composition where after mankind's demise in nuclear warfare, nature has slowly started to heal itself. With the ionization in the air casting a perennial aurora, I created the scene of dawn. The tinge of warmth from the sunrise coupled with the beautiful drama of the aurora will usher in the new dawn. Finally, it took about 6 hours to complete the artwork.
