These small infant Pokémon have recently been found dancing and chanting within the Mystical Caverns of the Whirl Islands. While their small and light-weighted bodies make them very vulnerable to the larger Pokémon that live there as well, they using their singing to sooth and relax them.

The monks of the Whirl Islands have begun training the local Chingling to aid in the rituals involving the Legendary Pokémon that lives in the deepest parts of the Islands. Though the training is only recent, the Chingling have begun to show results.

Some Chingling are seen traveling to the surface of the Whirl Islands at night and seem to let the night breeze spirit them away; as to wear they go, that is still a mystery.
