I agree, no good idea to have those ears up in alert.
Also, they'll have some serious ringing in their ears since I can't see any ear protection. Depends on how long the firefight will go.
It has to be a Bizon! I mean, in this movie almost everything is a reverence to an animal!
And with single fire I think it's possible to get some accurate shots even without the guns stock on his shoulder. I mean, this guy is the James Bond of Zootopia, he's allowed to do that XP

Yeah. You want a weapon with good close to medium range. I like the M4 I currently carry with the 62 grain bullets. I train and instruct close contact. Response to active shooters like malls and such. I like accuracy with a good take down. The 7.62 is great but over penetrates even at 300 meters. We use 223 hunting type rounds that mushroom and stay there.
Don't want to hit innocents.
I like the SCAR. I have three rifles. Two AK74s. Bulgarian, a Polish Tantal, and a Remington ACR.
My P90 I consider more a compact sub machine gun than a rifle. The Tantal is similar as a compact with
the folding stock and shorter barrel. That 5.45 is an awesome round.

For a rabbit, even the PP-19 is oversized, although he can put the stock on the side. I think he's just doing a support firing, so, he doesn't really have to be accurate.
