About a year ago, I created a pop-up Adventure Time card and said that if I had the time, I would like to revisit the design and add more characters. When it came to a friend's graduation, I decided to rework the design and here is the outcome.
I wanted to showcase the main characters of the series and was heavily influenced by the design of this pop-up spread . As I couldn't find a wide enough range of coloured papers to make a collage, I decided to colour this in digitally and print it out. In the course of 3 weeks, I went in and out of making rough illustration drafts, creating 5 different mock-ups to ensure the measurements worked out before colouring it in and assembling the parts together. However, my printer messed up at the end and my characters ended up looking a little blurry. (Due to the blurriness, the waving snail hidden somewhere on the card is extra difficult to find.)
Apart from the minor problem with the printer as well as some complications in gluing, I'm pretty happy with the results! I love the art style of AT and think that it translates nicely into a collage format. Please excuse my poor camera skills.

It's still possible for me to assemble this because I still keep the template. But it will probably be kind of pricey too.

Thank you! I love papercraft but the lack of cheap construction paper these days is a bit of a dampener, so I have to resort to digital colouring. Of course, I'd also like to use traditional media like you do, but I have a lot less confidence in my skills.

Thank you! Like I mentioned in one of the responses above, it may be a bit difficult to get a template together as I winged the measurements at a few points. It's also a little more complex to assemble, so making a tutorial will be time-consuming. But I will attempt at it one of these days if I have the time!

You must have really sharp eyesight! The snail is a little more visible in the details; in this pic it's just a blob of brown

Thanks! While I do have the template sheets available, it can be pretty complex to assemble and there were many points at which I just winged the measurements. So I don't think I can provide the template. And I don't watch MLP either. Sorry!
