Concept work for an idea called 'Warp' that came to me a couple of months ago.It's about a shrine maiden (kinda) bat and a big 'ol crow (sort of) who is always by her side. Mostly waiting for her to die.
..well it's slightly more complicated than that, but, there you go.

not just that the bat reminds me of the one from Anastasia, the dark and intimidating bird is also very Don Bluth

An inspired design! Clean, elegant, and pretty. Good stuff. I particularly like the thimble standing in for a Tengai, or straw basket hat, and her wings draping as a robe would.

I like the Don bluth/anime method going on here, it definitely feels like they have a love/hate relationship going on here. Definitely looking forward to seeing more about these two.

this would make such a great movie, the relationship between the (i presume) fair, friendly and brave bat and the foul, evil and (again i presume) sarcastic crow would make for some great character developement, like near the end, the bat's in danger and the crow doubts wether he should or shouldn't save her.

...I can only wish this were a movie. I would watch it, over and over. I actually almost mistook it for an actual movie when I first saw the picture, then I read the artist comment. I was so excited, but this just gives me reason to watch and follow you! You other works are just as fantastic and wonderful, so I look forward to more from you.
Now, for the main topic. I find the poses's to be quite wonderful. The expressions, offer up a somewhat good explanation to most of the scenes (different panels), at least from what I can see. The feet are simply adorable, and the crow is a fantastic addition for a partner, plot, or enemy. However it may be chosen as though, I don't know. Though it seems as a slight ally, and enemy (waiting for her to die is why I assume the enemy bit, though I may be very wrong in my assumption) at the same time. Which is a nice twist!
