Shockingly a photograph, the composition and color here is astounding! It seems like something someone would make if fractal art let you direct the fine details more, but it also really looks like watercolor to an astounding degree in some places. The lighting happens to create a strong line-art-like effect, which actually makes this a good reference if someone wants to learn to illustrate several crystal forms.
