Experimenting with different textures and effects and this is what I came up with. It looks wierd from a distance (and a little funky) so I recommend a full view.

Nice texture work -especially like the light from the eye (image right).
Wasn't sure about the dark "spot" in the center of the forehead... but may be symbolic of what is behind the facade of the outer flesh... does give an added dimension and food for thought... in any case - a compelling image.

Yeah, a lot of symbolism, because when you think about it, we are pretty complicated. A lot of layers, and if you peel them away, well, what's left may not always be what you want to see.
