Giving this a try!

Don't feel my style has gone through any significant changes. Instead, I feel I've gotten to know my style better and learned to work with the strengths of it.
Regardless, I feel it's been a roller coaster art year for me. At the start of this year I felt very dissatisfied with my art, like I was losing touch with my style - no thanks to my imposter syndrome!

In April a huge shift happened and I feel this is still confusing to me. I lost my precious pet cat who had been with me for 11 years, and while I was trying to cope with the loss I blew up on Twitter. I wanted to be sad, but at the same time the furry fandom was all "Nope! No time for sad, only happiness!". Such a surreal experience. Still managed to simp for cat wife Belladonna for my birthday in May!

Art Fight was a blast as always and I felt back in sync with my art style again during the event! Met new people as well as familiar ones, traded art and just vibed in general with everything artsy going on. Really looking forward to returning next year!

In an attempt to take myself and my art more seriously, I opened for commissions in August/September with new prices. It's always a big insecurity trying to value your own art and the services you offer, but I was pleasantly surprised I didn't scare anyone away and instead was met with interest and encouragement. Hope to keep it that way!

For next year, I want to learn. and feel comfortable, drawing other species than felines. I also want to be braver and be more personal with my art and share what's on my mind more often. I most often keep my head down and try not to draw attention to myself, which is counter productive when you're trying to grow as an artist online. It's a big insecurity for me, but I will at the very least try.
