Title: Hwang jin yi.

This picture did the woman who was well-known to us with a model. (in korean ....she's famous character)

her name is "Hwang jin yi"

Sometimes.. I find it to call with her that it is "Geisha" overseas.

but it's wrong ..."Geisha" is Japanese entertainer, but She's not.

we call her occupation that it is "Kisaeng"

She was the entertainer who was famous in Chosun..

She can play a classic musical instrument.

and She was skillful in reciteing a poem.

People say, she was beautiful and very intellegence... so she is loved yet.

I think she is good model in attractive Korea woman.

(my english abillity is unskillful...sorry... γ…œ_γ…œ

I've never watched the drama, but I do love gisaeng and Korean culture; it's very cool. I like to try and use parts of the gisaeng culture (as well as Buchaechum, which is another thing entirely!) in my own stories, just because I think it's so interesting. I love your potrayal of the gisaeng here, very beautiful. Good job!

I love it! I love your strokes!

There is nothing wrong in comparing her to a Japanese Geisha. Gei=art, Shaerson.

I don't know if China had the same system, it probably did, since she is the eldest of what I would like to call The Three Sisters (China, Korea and Japan). The system of having a special entertainment unit/caste/group.

yeah .. I got it. but i want to call her native name, "Kisaeng"..It also same mean artist ...
just I don't want to calld her "Geisha"....because I feel that when many international people watched korea culture artist,
they were same think about japan and korea culture. but Kisaeng has other charm and also korea culture have a another great attractive.

Wow wow ...... Such grace and finesse as she dances across the puddle of water , you capture her movement and posture wonderfully. The clothing and hair style is very cultural Japanese and nicely done, also the back drop setting is perfect and compliments entire picture ........... You are very good
