long time nothing uploaded. this here is on what i worked the whole time. a friend asked me to draw his character from a roleplaying game. this is what came out. its not finished. the name of his race is "gangrel". he can transform into a bear or a goshawk because that i drew the little animalheads.Related content

Wow, everything looks good except for that arm but still wow! (the hand looks fine to me itself, looks like the axe is just resting in his relaxed palm. The forearm just doesnt give the impression the arm has rotated from the upper arm to the forearm and then wham, upturned palm.) Question: Is there any good practices you've done / books or texts you've read etc that have helped you get to drawing fantasy art this well? If so I want to know what they / some of them are.

You have such a wonderful and unique type of talent with your drawing. I do so wish I could draw as well, but alas, I practice on.

Whoa, nice drawing, it actually reminds me a lot of Warcraft concept art, did you take lessons from Metzen? Anyway its nice, the bottom left cornor does seem a bit lonely, but that doesn't bother me much. I think the problem with his arm is that the left one is larger than the right, and it doesn't look like perspective, it just looks strange. But its really not too bad if you ask me. The great success of this drawing is in the faces: the small one, and the large one, and the two animal heads, they are great. By the way, I am the boyfriend Krisalynn mentioned in the above comment, who plays Vampire: the Masquerade. Actually Gangrel is a clan, not a race, but close. And yes, it would take a powerful one to able to change into different types of animals, but not a super-powerful one. He looks very barbaric, like a medieval Gangrel. Anyway, nice drawing.

I think this is awesome! I think his arm looks a little strange, but not much it just kinda looks like it is the top of his arm until you notice the up turned hand, but other than that I think it is great. Your friends character must be a pretty powerful one if it can change to two animals, that or I just don't know enough about it yet. I've recently started playing VTM with my boyfriend and some friends, he's done drawings of our characters too, but I don't think he has those drawings up on here, at least I don't think they are yet. Anyway, once again good job, I'm going to recommend that my boyfriend checks it out, I think he'd really appreciate it.

I agree, the right hand looks a lil off as how itsgrabbing the axe, but that's minor, compared to the rest of the detailed drawing.

nicely done... You have some awesome talent. Everything is good except that the left side of the drawing looks kind of empty. If you threw in a background or just something for composition, this would look very professional. Other than that, this is a friggin awesome piece.
