This is one of my contest entries for the Haikubaikou Fanart Contest.--Photoshop CS2

Kenshin's hand bugged the crap out of me! I spent 2 hours on it and still couldn't get it to look right. Hence the reason I've covered it with Tomoe's hair. Hehehe ^_^ His neck was also giving me problems, mostly because I couldn't get the shading to look right. I spent another 2 hours on that too...*grumbles* Oh well. I'm not going to change it now haha
EDIT: I tweaked Kenshin's hand a bit.

Haha thanks!!! For the hair, I drew the strands, and then used the smudge tool to make it all soft looking. ^_^

This is simply striking. The amount of detail you put into this is breathtaking: Kenshin's hair looks so silky, and the emotions are accurately portrayed. Amazing job.

Although I still consider my work to be a bit amateur compared to some of the other authors on this site...have you read any of the stories by Lolo popoki? They're amazing!

Yeah, I noticed that too. When it comes to the stories I'm working on, I'll have to thank the RK fanfic writers for a huge amount of my inspirations, yourself included.
I can't say I would claim to be the biggest Hiko fan but I like Hiko/young Kenshin and Battousai/Katsura fics best because they seem to be the most well written a lot of the time.
I have read his/her works, I love them all! I think Frigid Waters is pobably my favorite.^^ I think the authors of my favorite stories would be you, older woman (Ichirizuka), Lolo popoki (Frigid Waters), itsawitch (Teenagers), Scarred Sword Heart (too many to list), eventful-event (Off Guard), and a few others. I'm pretty much an RuroKen only fan.^^

Haha the thing I like about the RK fandom is that it's pretty much cannon and there's hardly any yaoi. (Which I hate btw) And I'm very flattered! I'd never thought I'd be up to the level of the great writers of RK fanfiction.
