Okay, I´m going to upload that now. I still have the urge to add more details and make it look even more realistic, but then I just realise my skills aren´t enough. I really gave my all with this picture. But more´s just not possible right now.Still... I hope you like it. I spend hours with this.

Those flowers are so so beautiful!!! I love the colors and they're so well done.
Actually I like the color scheme in all this piece. The green and pink go very well together, and then the yellow in the middle is great for integration.
Btw, if you don't mind explaining: I've seen pictures of tea kettles with plants and flowers inside like this before - what's the story/theory behind this? They just dump the whole plant in or...?

And yes, this is my best work yet. The theme was about tea and at the contest you could win a tea flower - so I integrated it. A tea flower is a prepared "flower" made of tea leaves that are shaped in a way the flower "opens" when put into hot water.

I was considering to enter the contest myself too but lack of time and seeing all the great, smart and funny entries... dunno.
Anyway, it's fun to follow the pictures and seeing such interesting takes as yours for example. ^^

And I don´t have much faith in winning. There are indeed so many great pieces of art already entered. But in the first place I didn´t enter for winning. I´m still practicing with my art, especially with colouring - so I use every opportunity I get to improve (and if I have to draw for others, I´m forced to give my best

Hehe, I get you about all the pretty entries, I was considering to enter but I probably won't in the end. I'm very busy and also I'm far from that level, not colours at least. But I'm glad not every people are this forfeiting as me, this is when I get to see such interesting entries too with fun ideas behind.
It's good you push yourself! I get what you mean. When I do a commission and draw for others I also work harder than usual and totally horribly nitpicky XD
